The Butter Factory Myrtleford are churning out some the Ovens Valley's finest for gourmet supermarkets and the best restaurants in Victoria. This is top-end stuff, lightly salted with whole Mt Zero pink salt crystals. It pretty much re-defines the butter on fresh bread experience.
Butter production started in September 2010 in a re-converted space at the back of the cafe in the iconic Myrtleford Butter Factory Co-op building on the Great Alpine Road. Visitors can watch the production from a specially built viewing platform behind their produce shelves overlooking the cafe.
The packaging echoes the traditional shape of the heritage MBF brand. It uses a traditional foil wrap sourced from France to further engance the hand-made, authentic, small-batch communication. The design for both the butter and buttermilk packaging has been featured in publications from China, the USA and Germany.
