The Japanese have some beautiful traditions. One of my favourites is their celebration of the cemetery. I found this one in Hakuba. The ski resort of Happo One is in the background - scene of the 1998 Winter Olympics. Another less glamorous, but equally engaging one is Sumo. I went to a tournament while in Tokyo and witnessed Japan's 'sweet science'. Scott |
